Service Description

K101: This is a 3 day workshop and great introduction to kilnforming. We will disscuss firing schedules and ideas involved in making elegant jewelry. Students will be cutting dichroic and clear sheet glass and arranging them in layers to be fused into pieces of jewelry. Students will have time to make a few pieces of jewelry (day 1). This process requires the use of grinders for bezeling and a second firing (day2). Other material covered includes simple wire wrapping and finishing techniques for you glass jewelry (day3). Class will be about 2 hours each day.
