Canning Mandarin Oranges

I have always loved to find creative ways to save money on food without sacrificing quality. My family eats a ton if fruit and it is always cheaper to buy in bulk seasonally. Berries can be frozen, apples and pear turned in fruit leather, but what to do with citrus? That's why this year I was so excited to finally make these Mandarin Oranges a part of our pantry. They are SO EASY!

Step 1: Peel oranges of all white pith and separate segments. Removed seeds if necessary.

Step 2: Make a light sugar syrup of 2:1, water to sugar.

Step 3: Pack orange segments into sterilized jars and pour syrup until covered.

Step 4: Hot water bath 10 minutes.

Enjoy!
