After dedicating a decade to our home business and farm, we were informed that it was time to relocate. It was disheartening news that caught us off guard. The challenging housing market and insurance issues were not on our side, but the Hoskins are resilient. With the help of our loved ones and numerous prayers, we have embarked on the journey to establish our roots once again. The land and structures on the property require extensive attention, and we are prepared to put in the effort.
The previous owners, affectionately dubbed "The Russians", were in their 80s. Having bought another property in Florida years ago, they were mostly residing there, leaving the house unattended. Consequently, the house requires extensive maintenance, with the roof, deck, and carpets in dire need of repair. The bedrooms still have primer on the walls from over thirty years ago, and there are minimal gardens and no chicken coop.
Nevertheless, amidst all challenges, there is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. We have become guardians of immense trees, a diverse array of medicinal flora, a historic riverbank, and nutrient-dense soil yearning for vitality. It is an opportunity to create something from the ground up, a place where we can truly belong.
Oh, and did I mention the view?!
