Basic Fusing, Tiles + Coasters

Service Description

K100: In this 3 day workshop we will go through a general history of kiln formed glass. We will explain the characteristics of glass cutting as well as the tools needed to cut, grind, and heat the glass. We will disscuss firing schedules for full fusing. Students will be cutting sheet glass and arranging them in layers to be fused (day 1). This process requires the use of grinders and wet saws as well as a second firing (day2). Upon pick up of your finished work, installation and finishing techniques will be covered (day3). Class will be 2.5 hrs each day
