Service Description

K102: In this 4 day workshop we will explain the characteristics of glass cutting with a focus on circles as well as the tools needed to grind, and heat the glass. We will disscuss firing schedules for full fusing multiple pieces in the kiln. Students will be cutting sheet glass and other elements, arranging them in layers to be fused (day 1). Refinishing the plates with the use of coldworking equipment and a second firing (day2). We prepare molds and shelves and disscuss the firing schedules for slumping multiple pieces in the kiln (day3). The final elements of the one-of-a-kind platter are arranged and the finished pieces are fired and annealed for the last time (day4).
